The job placement services for the poor and marginalized rural youth, VAZHIKAATTI was started as a unique service in 1996, in the Salesian Province of Chennai (VAZHIKAATTI MEANS ONE WHO SHOWS THE WAY).

The job placement network is an organized service for the skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled poor spread across the Indian provinces, especially in the southern provinces of Chennai, Trichy, Hyderabad and Bangalore.

Each of the above mentioned provinces have their own staff and office personnel, to take care of the job placement of Don Bosco institutions’ young beneficiaries. There are other provinces which have recently begun job placement services.
